We’re excited to announce that all Rackslab software—Fatbuildr, RacksDB, and Slurm-web—now officially supports Debian 14 “forky.”
What Is Debian 14 “forky”?
“Forky” is the code name for the next stable Debian release. Following the recent debut of Debian 13 “trixie”, the Debian testing branch has been reborn as Debian 14 “forky”.
Testing is the rolling branch where the Debian community prepares the next stable release, making it an ideal environment for developers and early adopters who want access to newer software while keeping Debian’s renowned stability.
Why Debian Matters to Rackslab
At Rackslab, we are committed to providing strong, timely support for Debian across our product line. We believe Debian offers a robust and sustainable platform for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI workloads. Its stability, open governance, and extensive package ecosystem make it a strong alternative for demanding, long-lived computing environments.
