We’re pleased to announce new official support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 15 and 16, and openSUSE 15 and 16, for both Slurm-web and RacksDB.

This means these distributions are now part of our supported platforms: we aim to keep Slurm-web and RacksDB compatible with them, and we will investigate and fix distribution-specific issues as part of our maintenance effort.

What’s new

  • New official packages: you can now install Slurm-web and RacksDB on SLES and openSUSE using our official distribution packages, aligned with our supported releases.
  • Official documentation updated: our installation documentation has been updated to cover these SLES and openSUSE platforms and guide you through a supported deployment path.

Why it matters

SLES and openSUSE are widely used in HPC and enterprise environments where stability and long maintenance cycles matter. Official support means you can deploy our solutions on these platforms with more confidence, and rely on us to track compatibility and fix platform-specific issues over time.

Acknowledgment

This work has been generously sponsored by CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation). We want to thank them a lot for enabling this development.

We are very proud of supporting CSIRO in their effort to deploy Slurm-web on their HPC clusters, and we’re excited to keep improving our open-source tools to fit real-world operations at scale.

Get Started

Whether you are managing IT infrastructures with RacksDB or monitoring HPC & AI workloads via Slurm-web, you can now confidently run Rackslab software solutions on SUSE distributions.
