Rackslab announces the release of Slurm-web v6.0.0, a major update that transforms how you navigate account hierarchies with the new Account Tree view, simplifies deployment by hosting Slurm-web in any HTTP subdirectory, and unlocks the latest Slurm 25.11 features with seamless REST API backward compatibility — delivering a faster, more flexible experience for clusters of any size.
Slurm is the world leading workload manager for HPC clusters with all most advanced features to manage jobs and resources efficiently with a powerful command-line interface (CLI).
Slurm-web provides a clear graphical user interface with views to track your jobs, intuitive insights and advanced visualizations on top of Slurm to monitor status of HPC supercomputers in your organization, in a web browser on all your devices.
What’s New?
This version brings several major enhancements:
- Account Tree navigation (#262)
Slurm-web now features a new Accounts page that provides a hierarchical visualization of your Slurm account tree. Navigate through parent and child accounts with an intuitive tree interface, quickly identify account relationships and user associations with their limits. This visual representation makes it significantly easier to understand account policy in complex organizations and efficiently manage multi-level account structures. This brings clarity into Slurm account policies, and reduces the need for complex CLI queries.
- Support hosting in HTTP subdirectory (#388)
Slurm-web can now be hosted in an HTTP subdirectory, making it easier to integrate with existing web infrastructure. This feature allows you to deploy Slurm-web alongside other web applications under a common domain, providing greater flexibility in your deployment architecture.
- Unified slurm-web command (#655)
A new unified slurm-web command has been introduced, consolidating multiple
commands into a single, intuitive interface. This simplifies administration and
makes it easier to manage your Slurm-web installation from the command line.
- Skip cluster list when unique (#481)
When you have only one cluster configured, Slurm-web now automatically skips the cluster selection screen and takes you directly to the dashboard. This streamlines the user experience for single-cluster deployments, reducing unnecessary clicks and navigation steps.
- Support for Slurm 25.11 (#654)
Slurm-web v6.0.0 fully supports Slurm 25.11, ensuring compatibility with the latest version of the Slurm workload manager. This update includes REST API backward adapters to maintain compatibility with different Slurm versions, guaranteeing that users can leverage the newest features and improvements from upstream while maintaining optimal performance and reliability.
- And more!
In addition to the major features mentioned above, this release includes several other enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving overall stability and user satisfaction. We are committed to continuously improving Slurm-web to meet the evolving needs of our users. Check out the release notes for more details.
